Weibo shows the same video under several addresses. All of these work:

Extra parts after a ? in the link do no harm.
Some links do not work:
- Short
t.cnlinks. Open the short link in your browser first. Then copy the long weibo.com address and paste that. - Profile links like
weibo.com/u/1234567890. A profile has many posts, so Vidsaver finds no video. Open one post and copy its link.
The Weibo file you get
- Format: MP4 with picture and sound in one file.
- Sizes: one button for each size Weibo has. Our test video had 1080p and 720p. It was 15 minutes long: the 1080p file was about 113 MB and the 720p file about 64 MB. On mobile data, the 720p file saves data.
- Time limit: the download link has an end time in it. In our test it was one hour after we pasted the link. After that, paste the Weibo link again to get a new one.
About the watermark
Vidsaver does not add a watermark. But sometimes a Weibo logo or a user name is part of the picture itself. Then it stays in the file, because Vidsaver does not change the video.
When it does not work
- Posts that only friends or fans can see. Vidsaver does not log in to Weibo.
- Posts that were deleted.
Weibo questions
Do I need a Weibo account or a Chinese phone number?
No. Vidsaver opens the post as a visitor. If anyone can see the post without logging in, you can save its video.
How do I convert a Weibo video to MP4?
You do not need to convert anything. Weibo already stores its videos as MP4. Paste the post link here and save the file.
Can I download Weibo videos in 1080p?
Yes, if the uploader gave Weibo a 1080p video. Then 1080p is the first button. If Weibo has no 1080p file, the list starts with a smaller size.
Do I need an app or an APK to download from Weibo?
No. Vidsaver works in the browser on your phone. Copy the post link in the Weibo app, then paste it on vidsaver.net in Chrome or Safari.
The page and the title are in Chinese. Does it still work?
Yes. The language of the post does not matter. The title of the result is in Chinese when the post is in Chinese.

Which Weibo videos work?
Videos in public Weibo posts work, in 1080p when Weibo has it. Short t.cn links and profile links do not.
Is there a watermark?
Vidsaver adds none. It does not edit the video. You get the file as Weibo serves it.
Which quality do I get?
Vidsaver lists every quality Weibo offers for the video, best first.
Why does it say the video is not public?
Weibo shows some videos only to logged-in users. Vidsaver can only get public videos.
Does Vidsaver keep the video or my link?
No. We do not store videos. We do not keep the links you paste. See the privacy policy.
Can I download any video?
Save only your own videos, or videos you have the right to save. Respect the creator's copyright and the terms.
Which other sites work?
Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Streamable, Snapchat, Twitch clips, Loom, Telegram. YouTube and TikTok do not work.
