Which Loom links work
Every Loom video has a code of 32 letters and numbers. Two link forms with this code work:
loom.com/share/c43a642f…: the link you get from Copy link on the video pageloom.com/embed/c43a642f…: the link inside a web page that shows a Loom player. Copy it from thesrcpart of the embed code.
A link can end in ?sid=… or a time like ?t=30. Keep it or remove it, the result is the same.
Folder links (loom.com/share/folder/…) do not work. Open one video in the folder and copy its link.
Loom sharing settings
The person who made the video chooses who can watch it. This choice decides if Vidsaver can get the file:
- Anyone with the link: works. Loom asks no login for these videos, so Vidsaver can open them too.
- Only your workspace or company: does not work. Loom asks viewers to log in, and Vidsaver does not log in.
- Only people added by email: does not work, for the same reason.
- Password: does not work. Vidsaver has no place to type the password.
If it is your own video, open Share on the video and set the link to Anyone with the link. Then paste the link again.
The Loom file you get
- One MP4 file with picture and sound. Our test video gave one button, 720p.
- Large files: Loom files can be big for their length. Our 20-second test file was 12 MB. Use Wi-Fi for long videos.
- Saves directly: Loom sends the file as a download, so your browser saves it and does not play it first. Your browser may name the file with the 32-character video code.
- One hour: the download link has an end time in it, one hour after you paste the link. After that, paste the Loom link again.

How do I download a Loom video from a link?
Paste the loom.com/share/… link in the box above and press Get video. Then press the Download button.
Do I need a Loom account?
No. A video set to Anyone with the link works without an account.
Can I download a Loom video in HD?
You get the size that Loom has for the video. Our test video was 720p HD.
Why does a Loom video from work not download?
It is most likely shared only with your workspace or with a password. Ask the person who made it to set the link to Anyone with the link.
Does a Loom link still work after the video is deleted?
No. Vidsaver then finds no video at the link.

Which Loom videos work?
Loom videos that anyone with the link can watch work. Videos only for a workspace, for people added by email, or with a password do not.
Is there a watermark?
Vidsaver adds none. It does not edit the video. You get the file as Loom serves it.
Which quality do I get?
Vidsaver lists every quality Loom offers for the video, best first.
Why does it say the video is not public?
Loom shows some videos only to logged-in users. Vidsaver can only get public videos.
Does Vidsaver keep the video or my link?
No. We do not store videos. We do not keep the links you paste. See the privacy policy.
Can I download any video?
Save only your own videos, or videos you have the right to save. Respect the creator's copyright and the terms.
Which other sites work?
Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Streamable, Snapchat, Twitch clips, Weibo, Telegram. YouTube and TikTok do not work.
